The Stable is a rural environment scene developed as the final project for the game modeling and animation module at CEI, documented in a technical report and presented with two complementary video pieces:
• Teaser: a short piece focused on presenting the overall atmosphere of the environment.
• Showcase: a technical walkthrough of the process and final result.
The initial phase was organized with visual references and a conceptual map to define scale, volume distribution and the artistic direction of the stable.
The environment was blocked out and refined in Maya, first shaping the main structure and then the prop set that supports spatial readability.
Once geometry was closed, UVs and technical asset organization were prepared to ensure consistency in the texturing stage.
With ZBrush, high-poly detail and controlled wear were added on selected props to improve material readability before baking and texturing.
A PBR workflow was applied in Adobe Substance 3D Painter for wood, metal and wear materials, aiming for consistency across assets while keeping enough variation to avoid repetition.
In Unreal, the terrain and exterior were developed while using the cubemap applied in planes as support for lighting and spatial readability.
In later stages, interior decals and post-processing parameters were tuned to unify materials, contrast and final scene atmosphere.
With the technical base completed, the final aesthetic pass focused on lighting, framing and camera composition for the final shots.
Finally, in Premiere Pro, the main focus was creating a sound atmosphere to reinforce the project's mood, especially in the teaser. Post-production was primarily focused on audio rather than video editing.
